Jeffry W. Mr. Blanchard has represented regional and national financial institutions on both litigation and transactional matters, and serves a range of business, commercial, and individual clients on matters including contracts and civil liability, dispute resolution, commercial and business agreements, entity formation, and personal legal matters including estates and property issues.
Mr. Blanchard is a 1989 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received a B.A. with honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of London, England, where he studied International Relations, and received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1993. Upon graduation from Villanova, Mr. Blanchard joined the litigation department of Melick, Porter and Shea, LLP, followed by five years with Corrigan, Johnson and Tutor, P.C. as a senior litigation associate. He served as in-house counsel with John Hancock Financial Services where he worked on a federal class action lawsuit involving the sales and performance of financial products, and with Travelers Citigroup where he focused on contractual indemnity and risk transfer related to commercial leases and construction contracts. In 2006, Mr. Blanchard joined Looney Cohen & Aisenberg, LLP where he is Of Counsel. Mr. Blanchard is licensed to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
