Brian S. Atherton joined the firm as an associate in September 2009. His practice involves representing and advising commercial banks and other financial institutions in regard to commercial loans, leases, real estate conveyances, foreclosures, and loan workouts. Mr. Atherton’s practice also includes commercial litigation, particularly contract disputes and business torts.

Brian graduated magna cum laude with a B. A. in International Relations and Russian and Eastern European Studies in 2004 from Tufts University, where he was also a member of the varsity lacrosse team. He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2009. While at Boston College, Brian taught an undergraduate course in Environmental Law and Policy. Prior to joining the firm, Brian interned for the Honorable Gordon H. Piper of the Massachusetts Land Court and served as a summer law clerk at a regional law firm in Manchester, NH. Brian is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
